I wish he were reading comic books and getting croissant crumbs all over my bed, but he’s probably fronting an obscure livetronica band somewhere.

What was your favourite band in middle school?
I listened to so many different things but if I had to choose three bands that really summed up my middle school years they’d be: AC/DC, Rancid and NOFX. There was so many other fads of the day in there (and I listened to a lot of rap), but really what I remember most was learning to play guitar to those bands and thinking I was really punk. Also, trying to request The Sex Pistols at school dances.

Where’s Waldo?
Caught in the liminal space between the signifier and the signified.

If Lumina were a household appliance, which one would it be and why?
A coffee maker. The most trustworthy and faithful kitchen appliance. You look forward to its contents and you know that if you really need it, it’ll be there for you. Plus I’m not sure any respectable home can be without one.

10-point Bonus Question: If you were a cocktail, what would you be?
I would say a Manhattan. It’s simple and elegant, but not too high-class or fussy. It’s sort of sweet but strong. Plus, it’s whiskey with a cherry which are two of my favorite things.
